Dining Out with Babas
So far the babas have been less than enthused about our food here in Paris. We have stocked up on fruit and yogurt at our apartment and it's pretty much all that Jack will eat. Oh, he'll take a couple of bites of whatever we have ordered for him, but it's not a real meal. And he'll definitely finish any dessert or ice cream that we pick up. But I was getting worried about him not eating today so we decided to get some Asian food. Something with rice. Found a few Thai restaurants off Rue Montorgueil. Tried out one at lunch called Aux 3 Elephants. Jack slept through lunch so we packed his food a emporter. Next door was a little shop called Notsobig with kids clothing, accessories, and toys. Of course Jack woke up in the middle of the store. Once we got back to our apartment, he attacked his lunch with gusto. Whew! For dinner we tried another Thai restaurant called Monthai. Cheaper and just as tasty. They had a great little dessert of tapioca (sago, I think) in coconut milk and either bananas, mango, or pineapple. Going to try to replicate it at home. Early dinner meant few smokers on the terrasse, so we got to people watch and... spill juice on Momma.
Right before I jumped up. I love Jack's face in this photo.
And I love this picture of Sean. Yeah, we can't hide the fact that we are Americans...

Petit Dejuner
Our first morning in Paris, we woke up around noon so it was too late for breakfast. The next day we woke up in time to go out and get some breakfast. Picked up some croissants, pain aux raisins, pain aux suisse chocolat from Maison Collet. Also picked up the cochon that Sean wanted to try. It was marzipan filled with chocolate. We liked it and I promised Sean that we would buy another before the week was up.
Those white meringues are bigger than my fists! Here's a close-up of the piggy once we got it home. Told the boys they could have chocolate for breakfast because we are on vacation. Otherwise, we would normally not.
